About COM+

Windows 2000 and XP support the COM+ framework which allow a collection of executable components to be combined into a scalable solution.

CCS was contracted to build an Enterprise Application Integration framework that would support multiple systems that wish to exchange information within an organization. We used COM+ to deploy a collection of smaller COM+ programs, that together would coordinate the transactions necessary for integration of disparate systems. The final solution was deployed on multiple redundant servers that communicated using transactional Microsoft Message Queues (MSMQ).
